The Original Trails of the Maroons is an Accompong-based eco-tourism organization. We carry hikers through the Cockpit Country on 300 year old trails the Maroons used to fight the British army and farm. We are currently taking reservations for the next traveling season right now and you can go to the trail project gallery to see our progress. |

Taxi Tips will help you get to the Cockpit Country using Jamaican taxis. A list of island wide taxi fares can be found at the Transport Authority Website. At the moment there is a detailed guide to getting from the Montego Bay Airport to Maggotty, a location that will give access to anywhere you would like to go in the Southwestern Cockpit Country and the rest of St. Elizabeth. |
